Habitat pour Haïti is a small foundation and specifically aims at helping the poorest people in Haïti. As you may know Dutch charity foundations have to fulfill a lot of requirements. One of these is that the cost of raising and managing the funds needs to be reasonably‘balanced’ with the charity's expenditures.

In our foundation, costs in The Netherlands are nil. All members of the board work on a voluntary basis and are not paid. They pay any costs they incur, including all travel to and within Haïti. We can assure you that all of your gifts go directly to the people in Haïti.

Your gifts are tax-deductible
In 2007, Habitat pour Haïti received disposition from the Dutch revenue. This means that all gifts (within Dutch tax regulations) are tax deductible. If you would like more information, please ask your accountant of tax-advisor.
