Habitat
pour Haïti grants starting capital or micro credits for the
acquisition or start of new businesses. This offers
the Haïtian people a source of income. As a result, families
are able to support themselves. Examples of these businesses
include the selling of homemade food or handmade clothes,
as well as the repair of clothing. Often the new entrepreneurs
use recyclable waste as raw material for their trade.
Usually, these small businesses do
well. We clearly see an improvement in the family’s living
conditions. We always feel it is great to experience how our
foundation
can make such big improvements in the lives of the Haïtian
people with relatively small amounts of money. |
